Bridget is a graduate of Malone College in Canton, OH with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She has dedicated her career as a nurse to working with individuals living with a mental illness for the past 23 years where she has worked in hospitals as well as in the community. As a nurse she has supported clients through crisis situations, assisted clients in overcoming barriers to treatment compliance and access to care, collaborated with interdisciplinary healthcare teams developing treatment plans and agency policies. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company and Janssen Pharmaceuticals for their behavioral health medications and resources. Bridget has also worked at Walsh University as adjunct faculty for their baccalaureate nursing program. Currently in addition owning Bridge Health Services she delivers Mental Health First Aid through a collaboration with Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio where she also serves as their Instructor Support Specialists (ISS). As the ISS she assists newly certified and existing MHFA Instructors as they move from novice to expert, which includes sharing best practices for delivery, technology, and classroom management and maximizing their independent certification. Bridget has been a certified Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor since 2018 with additional designations in Higher Education, Public Safety, Fire/ EMS, Military Veterans, Corrections Professionals & the Older Adult Curriculums.
